Great Ideas of humanity poster

This poster was created for the Great Ideas of Humanity exhibition at the Design Museum of Chicago. It is inspired by a quote from Michel de Montaigne’s 1557 essay: “The great and the glorious masterpiece of man is to live to the point. All other things—to reign, to hoard, to build—are, at most inconsiderable props and appendages.” The poster was selected for the exhibition by a panel including the founders and directors of the traveling show, and is featured both at the Design Museum of Chicago and on the museum’s website.
